1. Contract and contact
These Terms govern the Rari app. Your contract partner is Featuring GmbH, Tal 44, 80331 München, Germany, registered with Amtsgericht München under HRB 287200. Managing director: Gökay Inan. VAT ID: DE426733204.
You accept these Terms when you actively confirm them during account setup. Questions, complaints and human review requests can be sent through the contact details in our Legal Notice.
2. Who may use Rari
Rari is only for people aged 13 or over. You must not create or use an account if you are younger.
People aged 13 through 17 can use Rari only after truthful age confirmation and must confirm during account setup that any consent required from their legal guardian under the law where they live has been obtained. The same applies to a paid feature or a particular image. An in-app button is not a substitute for required consent. You must not pretend to be older or to have permission.
Rari is for private consumer use. Do not use bots, scrapers, automated accounts or the service for a business without our written permission.
3. How Rari works
A Rari Pack contains five Moment Cards. You can Keep zero, one or two cards per Pack and must let at least three go. Kept cards first appear in Live Picks and later in the permanent Collected history. One free Pack accrues every eight hours, and no more than three free Packs can be stored. Paid Packs are not currently available.
A Moment Card is a limited in-app representation of user-provided content. Keeping or displaying a card gives no ownership or other rights in a person, their identity, likeness, image or content. Rarity, Taste, Aura and other product signals never measure a person’s human worth.
You have no claim to a particular card, Rarity, visibility, reach or rating. Rari may reasonably change Pack timing, limits, names and how Taste, Aura, Rarity and Affinity are calculated for understandable reasons such as security, abuse prevention, balancing, law or product development. The status recorded in Rari determines Pack balances, ratings and purchase redemption. These scores and access signals have no cash value and cannot be traded or paid out.
Rari is not a dating app and currently has no chat, direct messages, comments, followers, public feed or card trading. Early Member and Rari Club access may be invitation-based. An invitation is personal, non-transferable and must not be sold, generated automatically, intercepted or abused. Early Member access has no regular expiry date, but it ends in particular with account deletion, a justified sanction or discontinuation of the service. Outgoing codes can become unavailable when the programme ends or reaches capacity.
4. Account, age and safety
Keep your sign-in details and device secure. Give accurate information and tell us if it changes. During onboarding, Rari privately stores your exact date of birth and derives the time of your eighteenth birthday (adultAt). These details are not public profile fields.
Rari separates general discovery into a Teen space for ages 13 through 17 and an Adult space for ages 18 and over. Teenagers discover Teen cards first and may also discover age-appropriate 13+ cards from adults. Adults cannot newly discover Teen cards in general discovery. Confirmed friends who are both currently at least 16 may additionally access each other’s eligible Created cards and public Collections and discover and Keep each other’s eligible cards through the Friends slot in Packs, without an additional age-gap limit. This exception does not apply between an under-16 member and an adult. It is Rari’s product protection decision, not a statement of legal permission or a guarantee of safety. Each Card is checked against its own creator; access cannot be passed to unrelated people through a Collection. Private visibility, moderation, reports and blocks remain effective.
Sharing a Friends link means inviting whoever validly redeems it, including someone who receives a forwarded link. The recipient expressly accepts in the app; no further sender confirmation is required. Removing or blocking a friend ends the additional access, including access based solely on a Keep through the exception. A Teen card kept before the collector turns 18 may remain independently historically accessible; an adult Keep through Friends creates no such permanent permission. Published cards keep their original audience. Content already received or separately saved cannot be recalled.
On supported Apple devices, immediately before sign-in, Rari may use Apple’s Declared Age Range request with gates at 13 and 18. An under-13 result or a contradiction with the entered birthday blocks account creation. If sharing is declined or the feature is unavailable, the validated birthday self-attestation applies. The Apple age range is not stored, sent to our backend or Analytics, and is used only for this local check.
Do not upload someone else’s identity document, private contact details or login token. We may limit an account while checking suspected fraud, abuse or a serious safety risk. We explain the reason and provide a human contact route where the law requires it.
5. Your content and our narrow licence
You keep your rights in images, titles and other material you upload. Upload only content that you made or are allowed to use, and obtain any consent needed from recognisable people. If your card shows other recognisable people, you ensure that they have also agreed to the limited use on Rari’s own social-media channels described below. A guardian’s consent is additionally required for a child shown in an image. Rari does not use cards from creators aged 13 through 17 or cards showing recognisable minors outside the app.
To operate Rari, you grant Featuring GmbH a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence for the duration needed to store, secure, moderate, technically transform and display your content to permitted Rari users. We may let necessary service providers process it.
To present Rari through the real product experience, Rari may also show public cards from creators aged 18 or over as part of genuine Pack openings on its own organic social-media channels such as TikTok, Instagram and YouTube. This narrow permission covers screen recordings, their publication, and technically or editorially necessary crops and format changes. Rari does not show usernames, location data or private product signals and does not portray people in a derogatory or misleading way. The permission does not cover paid advertising, selling your content or licensing it to other advertisers.
The licence for app operation normally ends with account deletion or global removal. Technical backups and legally required evidence can expire over a limited period. If you only stop a card, however, the licence needed for existing collectors continues until later account deletion or global removal. The narrow permission for Pack recordings already published continues until they are removed from Rari’s own channel. You or another recognisable person may object to further use through the contact details in our Legal Notice; we review the objection and remove the affected recording from our own channels where your or their rights prevail.
6. Community Rules
Do not upload or use Rari to share:
- sexual exploitation, sexualised images of minors, explicit sexual content, sexual objectification or nudity;
- graphic violence, credible threats, hate, terrorism, harassment, bullying or encouragement of self-harm;
- illegal content, instructions for crimes, doxxing, fraud or impersonation;
- private documents, readable contact details, passwords, handles or links;
- content that violates copyright, privacy, personality, trademark or other rights;
- screenshots, reposts, celebrity images, AI images or illustrations when Rari requires a real photographic moment;
- spam, advertising, adult-platform promotion, or manipulation of Packs, ratings, invitations or purchases.
Party, beach, gym, fashion, playful flirting, youth slang, mild profanity and self-directed phrases such as “hot girl walk” or “baddie” can be 13+-appropriate. Adults must not publish an obvious minor as the primary collectible subject. Teenagers may publish age-appropriate images with 13–17-year-old peers; Rari does not guess when age is uncertain.
These examples are not a blanket permission for everything else. We consider context, the seriousness and repetition of a violation, the rights of affected people, freedom of expression and the interests of minors.
7. AI and human moderation
Automated checks can review images and titles before publication for safety, rule compliance, basic authenticity and quality and can create internal safety or product signals. They do not intentionally identify people or infer protected traits. Automated tools can make mistakes.
Rari may reject, limit or remove content, or suspend an account, when law, another person’s rights, these Rules or a serious security risk requires a proportionate response. No permanent account ban or other severe sanction is imposed solely by automation. A human operator can review the decision. We explain the relevant rule and main reason, tell you if automated tools were used where required, and correct a wrong decision. You can request human review through the contact details in our Legal Notice.
8. Creator Slot Release and stopped cards
If you stop a card, it leaves future Packs. Existing collectors keep it while your creator slot remains blocked until the card’s original end. A global legal or safety removal or your account deletion can remove the card across the app.
Creator Slot Release is the current product name for the former Card Replacement feature. After successful purchase verification, the one-time in-app item releases exactly one blocked creator slot early. It does not delete the old card, remove it from existing Collections or guarantee that a new card can be published if age, access, safety or account conditions are not met. Failed or duplicate verification must not produce a duplicate release.
The relevant app store handles the store transaction and its refund tools. A commissioned purchase service helps verify the entitlement. The current store price is shown before purchase. A refund before redemption makes the entitlement unusable. A later refund does not automatically delete a card already created or re-lock the released slot; suspected fraud is reviewed individually. Statutory withdrawal, refund, conformity and payment rights remain unchanged. People aged 13 through 17 may also buy the feature under section 2; required consent and store, family and payment approvals still apply.
9. Consumer rights, refunds and deletion
If you are a consumer, statutory rights for digital services and digital content apply. Rari must provide the service as agreed and remedy a lack of conformity as required by law. Nothing in these Terms excludes mandatory warranty rights.
For a paid digital item, you generally have a statutory withdrawal right. If you ask for immediate delivery before the withdrawal period ends, the right can expire only where the law’s information, express request and acknowledgment requirements are met. Apple or Google may be the practical refund contact for a store purchase; you can also contact us through the contact details in our Legal Notice.
You can end your account at any time in the app’s account settings or by contacting us. Deletion does not waive a refund, withdrawal, warranty, data-protection or other statutory right. It starts removal of your cards across the app, including from other users’ Collections. Billing, safety or legal evidence can remain for the limited period described in the Privacy Policy.
10. Availability, liability and changes
Rari needs a compatible device, an internet connection and a supported app version. We may carry out maintenance, security blocks and updates. We do not promise that every feature is available at every time, but we will address material interruptions within a reasonable time.
We are liable without limitation for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, under the Product Liability Act and wherever mandatory law requires it. For ordinary negligence, liability is limited to the foreseeable damage from breaching an essential contractual duty. This does not exclude any liability that cannot legally be excluded.
We may make reasonable changes to features and these Terms. Changes that materially affect you are announced in the app or by another suitable means with reasonable notice. If a change requires your consent, you can decline it and end the contract. If we discontinue Rari as a whole, we will notify existing users reasonably in advance where possible and enable account deletion.
11. Law and final provisions
German law applies, while mandatory consumer protections in the country where you habitually live continue to apply. If you are a consumer, no exclusive jurisdiction clause takes away the courts available to you under mandatory law.
We are neither obliged nor willing to participate in a general consumer arbitration procedure. We will comply with the information duty under section 37 VSBG after a specific unresolved consumer dispute. The European Commission’s former online dispute-resolution platform has been discontinued; you may use other statutory complaint or court routes.
If a provision is invalid, the remaining provisions stay effective and the invalid provision is replaced by the applicable law. The German version is the source text for interpretation. Contact: Legal Notice. Last updated: 10 September 2026.
